Locanda del Gallo, Heaven on Earth

Locanda del Gallo is one of those places on earth where everything seems to exist in a perfect powerful resonant harmony with everything else; a type of synergy that comes from thousands of years of co-existence and a decade of cultivation and development, by the lovely ownersand hoss, Paola + Eriche, whose elegant vision of natural functional beauty is at once breath taking and enchanting. From the ancient stone walls and abundant wild yellow flowers, to the imposing 12th century villa and elegant dining area, as well as moroccan style hamam and saline mirror pool; the world seems to stand still in this paradisical environment.

My Italy Retreat Experience

Teaching at the enchanting Locanda del Gallo (www.locandadelgallo.it) family retreat in Perugia, Umbria, each year has become not only the highlight of my year, but a reaffirmation that nature's power and simplicity can transform our lives and rejuvenate our nurturing source and sustainable energy. Bringing group's here and building community and turning them on to this power spot with the secret waterfall hikes and saline pool and hamam steam therapy sessions; a truely awakening experience for me each time I return.

Working with a Master

Being the third year of my annual Italy retreat, co-taught with my spiritual sister, the lovely Dr. Elena Voyce, the amazing Italian Pilates and core yoga management master from London's successful www.teachyoga.com. Her detailed core work has informed my own system to a higher level of evolution, and our combined work continues to inspire the yoga practitioners of the world that we meet and train with. Dr. Elena is living inspiration and powerhouse of a teacher whose refined movement technology is on par with the great movement therapy minds of our times.
