Yoga + Music in Nature

The new wave in the yoga conference experience in North America is shifting to a new age of consciousness, that is more reminiscent of a yoga tribal gathering, where conference centers and philosophical lectures are being replaced by natural outdoor venues and live mystical music; and 'interactive' seems to be the key to the success of this new yogic movement; a movement that is becoming a lifestyle.

 

This year I was privileged to present my work at the two main Northern and Southern California yoga and music in nature events, Wanderlust (www.wanderlust.com) in Lake Tahoe, California, and at Bhakti Fest (www.bhaktifest.com) in Joshua Tree, California. The feeling of healing was high in the air, and my experience of teaching at a high mountain camp in the north and in the desert in the south, with commanding views and fresh air was, I have to say, for me, a deeply nurturing and grounding time, that left me feeling inspired and renewed.
